Set within the expansive Arlberg domain, skiers have access to more than 340km of pistes, all linked by a fast and modern lift system. While St Anton is renowned for challenging runs and superb off-piste, beginners and improving intermediates are equally well supported, with excellent tuition and plenty of lower graded slopes to build confidence.

A day on the slopes in St Anton is not complete without a visit to St Christoph and the iconic Arlberg Hospiz Alm, where aside from the excellent food and sun soaked terrace, guests can enjoy the unique experience of accessing the loos via a slide, a welcome alternative to clomping down stairs in ski boots, and a detail that perfectly captures the resort’s playful charm.

Few resorts rival St Anton for après ski. The legendary Mooserwirt, perched just above the final run into resort, and Krazy Kanguruh are famed stops for slope side celebrations, and for late night energy, venues such as Bar Cuba, or Murrmel Bar keep the party going well into the early hours.

Despite its reputation for lively evenings, the village itself remains characterful and authentic. The largely pedestrianised centre is lined with traditional chalet style buildings, independent shops and welcoming restaurants. By day it feels charming and relaxed; by night it hums with energy.

While skiing, and après ski are undoubtedly the headline acts, St Anton offers far more beyond the slopes. Scenic winter walking paths and snowshoe trails reveal the landscape at a slower, more peaceful pace, while the 4km toboggan run delivers light hearted fun for families and groups alike. For those seeking relaxation, horse drawn sleigh rides, spa experiences and excellent swimming and wellness facilities provide the perfect way to unwind after an active day in the mountains.
